let the baking begin!
the pastry side of culinary school has begun! yesterday we started intro to baking with muffins! it was a lot of fun. way more fun the soups & sauces. way more fun than getting super dirty with tomato sauce all over my uniform. way more fun than spilling beef stew all over the ground. i like pastry school.
muffin # 1: blueberry! super yummy.
muffin # 2: cheese cornmeal. pretty good.
muffin # 3: bran. as my dad says, "it's not what i would've chosen."
all in all, very fun, very laid back evening. i like this.

Hooray! can you believe you are half through the classroom part of culinary school? now a whole month of pastry! what kind of muffin tin are the blueberries in? it looks like granite!

ReplyDeletethe muffins were in a really old & very discolored tin pan, believe it or not. totally looks cooler than that.
