first up, we watched the wonderful christmas classic "christmas vacation". this might surprise you, but i had never actually watched the entire movie before. blakey, on the other hand, watches it with his family ever year. so watching this movie & drinking a little champagne has become a new holiday tradition with our family.
for dinner saturday night, we went to one of our birmingham favorites: bettola. it is a modern & upscale pizza joint with an authentic brick pizza oven from naples. this pizza is amazing. i tried the mushroom + truffle oil pizza. so so good. in fact, it was so good, i opted to finish the pizza instead of having tiramisu. that, my friends, is huge.
my husband is absolutely wonderful. love him.
