hot buttery rum cider.

our beautifully fall sunday was filled with cool rainy weather, lots of nfl football, cuddling on the couch, & possibly a nap curled up in a comfy blanket.  i love this time of year!  the only thing to make this fabulous fall day it a little more tasty - hot buttery rum cider.

it feels a little silly to give you a "recipe" for our favorite fall drink.  take this as a starting point.  & make your house smell delicious & your tummy feel happy.

hot buttery rum cider

unsweetened apple cider
honey
cinnamon sticks
mulling spices or ground cinnamon, ground ginger, & a few cloves
spiced rum
butter

1. heat the cider, honey, & spices in a pot, covered, over low heat for 30 minutes.

2. pour an ounce of spiced rum in your heat proof glass.  pour hot apple cider through a small sieve {to catch the mulling spices} to fill your cup.  top with a tiny pat of butter & enjoy!

{our tired little guy on our wonderful sunday}

love love,
kjp.
