our dear friend, jake, is in the military & has been overseas for the last few months fighting for our country. his wife, holly, & their son, jack, are back home in texas while he is away.
holly's family made this bookmarks for all of us to remind us to pray for jake & holly {& now jack!} while he was deployed last time. i still keep it in my bible & it reminds me to pray for them {almost} every day.
sometimes i get a little down about blakey's work hours. & although i know he works so so hard, this is a good reminder that there are so many people & spouses & families sacrificing even more.
so thank you, jake & holly & jack. thank you to all of you doing wonderful things for us, even though it must be so hard for you sometimes.
i'm so excited that jake will be home on leave for a few days & get see his beautiful wife & their adorable little boy. i hope it is a wonderful & rejuvenating few days.
i hope you can think of something today for which you are thankful.
