blakey has REALLY been wanting a patio. he wants to be able to come home from a long day of work, sit in some comfy chairs, maybe drink a beverage or two, & relax while watching the world.
we actually looked around birmy for a new place to live with an outdoor space. but each place wasn't quite home for us, not quite worth packing & moving & unpacking. so we've decided to stay in our wonderful home.
& since blakey was amazing enough to let my desire to not move beat his desire for a porch, i decided to build him one. downtown loft style.
after searching 5 stores in the greater birmingham area, i finally found these two fabulous adirondack chairs! the hot pink one for me & the sea foam green one for blakey. i finished the area with a black side table, a teal pitcher, & two outdoor glasses with little umbrellas.
when blakey got home from work, he was so excited about his new patio! we spent the evening chilling in our chairs with a glass of wine & much conversation. we even got to watch the sunset over birmingham.
he loved it. i love him.
& in true blakey fashion, he now wants to build a deck for our indoor patio. haha. oooh, blakey. do your manly thing & build, if you must. i'll let you know if that ever happens :)
