the beach!!! {part 1}

i'm back!  from a fun fun weekend + week + holiday weekend with so many fabulous friends & family.  my family is very excited to hear all about it, so let's begin with our weekend trip to the beach!

amy, ogden, lola, blakey, tanky, & i headed down to gulf shores last weekend for a fantastic 36 hours at the beach!  with a little luck & blessings from above, we actually all got off work in time to ride down together.  we all know the road trip portion of trips can be some of the most memorable times, & this held up to that standard.  to not embarrass any little puppy girls, i wont go into any details.  but just know that when lola barks, you need to pull the car over.

we stayed at a beautiful little beach home right on the water that amy wonderfully found for us.  it was absolutely perfect.  a nice back patio, where you could watch the ocean & hear the waves.  this is the view from our patio paradise:
 

after some great fresh seafood po boys on the patio with a nice ocean breeze, we called in any early night on day 1.  & that lead to an early rise for us & a view of this beautiful beach sunrise:

then we headed to the beach for fun in the sun!  we hung out, played with the pups, played a little ocean beer pong {oh yes, you read that right.  blakey bought an inflatable beer pong table.  it floated in the ocean during our game.  yesssss.}, chased after the pups some more, & had a jolly time!

we had so.much.fun.  but it is possible the pups had even more fun than we did.  & i will tell you all about that tomorrow :)
