thankful thursday - our february 12th.

{tanky wishes you a happy valentine's day!!}

blakey & i aren't big valentine's day people.  we love each other a ton, obviously.  & we love holidays & celebrations.  but we don't really love crowds & hoopla.  so we chose to celebrate february 12th this year!

our evening began with our silly little restaurant game we made up for our first dating anniversary 5 years ago.  it was in the middle of march madness & bracketology season.  so we made up a restaurant bracket dice game to chose where we were going out to eat.  it's awesome.  we still play about once a year.  the perfect fun way to choose where we eat!

{confession, we usually end up going somewhere other than the restaurant that wins the bracket.  haha. fun game, nonetheless.}

our february 12th date night dinner was at our second place winner, giuseppe's cafe, a cute little dive italian restaurant that we hadn't yet tried.  it was a lovely cozy dinner with baked feta & pasta & delicious tiramisu!

although we were not doing valentine's gifts, we both cheated.  blakey is an amazing man & gave me a gift card for a massage at one of the nicest spas in birmy, richard joseph.  so excited.  & i surprised him with the absolutely hilarious valentine's photo of tanky!  oh my goodness, we laughed about it for so long.  little guy in a bow tie with roses.  fantastic. 

julie & benny boo & malcolm sent us a valentine's package too!  blakey got a pot roast flavored man candle.  i got a magical brush for cutting down hair drying time.  & fabulous little colorful bobby pins.  & the most adorable tiny little instagram photos!!  photos of julie & me, benny boo & blakey, little man, & more!  i love them!
