this wonderful group of ladies threw nora belle & me the most beautiful & loving shower!  there were pink poms & poofs, colorful flowers & polka dot straws, & the sweetest "nora belle" banner.  the food was delicious too with tasty chicken salad & little petit fours for dessert.  all of the guests were invited to write wishes for miss nora belle that were an absolute joy to read.  so many loved ones were there to make us feel oh so special.

a party for miss nora belle!

julie & cari & haley threw miss nora belle the most amazing baby party!!  there were hot pink signs & gummy bears & gold polka dot napkins!  adorable little white cups with her monogram & name!  her very own crazy straws with each of her names!  we had big truck tacos & city bites cookies!  & so many of our loved ones came to celebrate this little girl.  it truly was the best baby party in the whole wide world!

week 29: home sweet homa.

it's baby shower week!  blakey & i headed home for a few days with family & friends, a 30th birthday party, our big truck baby party, & our baby shower!  it was so nice to be in oklahoma & eat at our favorite places & lay out by the pool & do a little shopping & celebrate miss nora belle.

julie & benny boo & little man were in town for the week too, which was incredible!  malcolm & i built a lot of tracks & played choo choo.  & he got to ride an amazing john deere tractor!  so cool, little man.

& my dearest friend, cari, turned THIRTY!!!  we celebrated with a party on the rooftop patio at packard's in okc.  oh my gosh, this place is awesome!  & it's two blocks from our old loft.  an evening under the stars with a great view of downtown, so many wonderful people, celebrating an amazing friend.  happy birthday to you, cari marie!!

besties in oklahoma.

i got to see two of my bests while in oklahoma!!   we dined at the incredibly delicious kitchen no 324.  mimosas, fried chicken pot pie, & a kale caesar salad.  if you've haven't been here, you totally should go.  then a walk around our oklahoma city home.  a little shopping, a little photo shoot, & much love & joy with friends.  these two beautiful faces were absolutely a highlight of our trip.

before we headed out, we also got to happy hour at pub w with caric!  it is always so nice to catch up with these two.

over the weekend, blakey & i went to our first ou game this season!  it was fantastic to be on campus on game day, see all of the crimson & cream for oklahoma instead of alabama, enjoy the beautiful fall weather, & cheer for a sooner win!  oh, oklahoma, we love you.

julie, malcolm, & i got to sit with my dad & ruth in THE best seats in the stadium.  blakey was excited to sit with his dad & brothers in their seats, which he also claims to be the best seats in the stadium.  he's wrong.  but we can let him be wrong about this one, as long as i get to sit in our seats.

this was malcolm's 1st ou football home game!  his 1st ou game was last year at west virigina.  he's a football game pro now.  with many many games to go.
